Cryptex - Encrypts text with AES cipher and a custom password
Cryptex is a Chrome extension developed by Denis Cosmin. It falls under the category of Browsers and is classified as an Add-ons & Tools program. Cryptex allows users to encrypt and decrypt text using the AES cipher and a custom password.
This extension is partially finished and is the developer's first extension. It utilizes the AES cipher from CryptoJS and stores the passphrase locally for encryption and decryption purposes.
To use Cryptex, simply enter the text you want to encrypt or decrypt in the provided text box and click the corresponding button. If you prefer to use a specific key, you have the option to update the key field. Additionally, if you want to reuse the same key every time, you can store it by clicking the store button. The next time you start the extension, the key field will be empty, but the encryption and decryption process will still utilize the stored key.
